中文课程简介

本课程主要介绍时变场、均匀平面波、反射与透射、色散、传输线与阻抗匹配、波导、辐射与天线理论要素等内容。到本课程结束时,学生应该能够:理解麦克斯韦方程作为解决所有电磁问题的控制方程;了解时变电磁场的基本原理;将平面波解理解为均匀介质中麦克斯韦方程的通解;了解平面波的反射和折射;获得波导与谐振器的基本概念;了解传输线和天线的基本知识;解决与电磁波传播和辐射有关的工程问题;设计需要电磁场和波知识的简单结构。


英文课程简介

This course mainly introduces Time-varying fields, uniform plane waves, reflection and transmission, dispersion, transmission lines and impedance matching, waveguides, elements of theory of radiation and antennas. By the end of this course, students should be able to:Understand Maxwell’s equation as the governing equation for solving all electromagnetic problems;Gain knowledge on the basic principles of time-varying electromagnetic field;Understand the plane wave solution as the general solution of Maxwell equations in homogeneous medium;Understand the reflection and refraction of the plane wave;Gain the basic concept on waveguide and resonator;Understand the basics of transmission lines and antennas;Solve engineering problems related to electromagnetic wave propagation and radiation;Design simple structures that requires the knowledge of electromagnetic fields and waves.
