This course is an introduction to the field of biological psychology, a subfield of neuroscience that seeks to understand the biological basis of behavior with a focus on the nervous system. This course attempts to bridge the divisions between biology and psychology, and to provide students with an appreciation of how each field contributes to the interdisciplinary study of behavior.
