This module is focused on the recent development of novel photovoltaic technologies based on solution processed semiconductors, including in particular organic, perovskites and quantum dots semiconductors. The course will cover the discussions of the fundamental theory of these novel semiconductors, their applications and working principles in solar cells as well as prospects and challenges toward commercialisation.
